# Distributing Release Bundle v2 Versions in an Air Gap Environment

Learn how to export, transfer, and import Release Bundle v2 versions in an Air Gap environment.

[Release Bundle v2](/docs/understanding-release-bundles-v2) distribution works differently in an Air Gap environment, which is an environment containing two or more JFrog Artifactory instances that have no network connection between them.

Distribution in an Air Gap environment involves the following stages:

* **Exporting** the Release Bundle v2 version to an archive as a `.zip` file.
* **Copying** the archive to an external device, for example an external hard drive, and transfer it to the network where the destination Artifactory instance is located.
* **Importing** the archive directly into the destination Artifactory instance.

You can import and export Release Bundle v2 versions using one of the following methods.

  Before exporting the Release Bundle version, you must propagate the signing key created in Artifactory for Release Bundle creation and promotion to the list of trusted public keys in the same source Artifactory.
