Project Admin Role

The Project Admin is a Global role and is equivalent to the Platform Admin role at the JFrog Project level.

Project Admin Capabilities

The capabilities available to a Project Admin depend on the privileges assigned by a Platform Admin:

• Manage project members when granted the Manage Members privilege

• Manage project-level resources when granted the Manage Resources privilege:

  • Repositories: Create, update, and delete remote, local, and virtual repositories, according to the Create/Update and Delete permissions assigned for each repository type
  • Others: Manage builds, OpenID Connect identity mappings, and retention policies (cleanup and archive). Others is selected with Manage Resources and cannot be changed independently. A Platform Admin can allow a Project Admin to manage retention policies without allowing repository administration by keeping Others selected and clearing all Repositories permissions.

• Manually select resources to be indexed and scanned by JFrog Xray, if given the Index Resources privilege

• Create and manage project-level Policies, Watches, and Reports, if given the Security Manager role

• Ignore Global Watch Violations if given the privilege

• Allow creating Ignore Rules on Security Violations
