Frequently Asked Questions
❓Do I need Kubernetes to try JFrog?
A: For evaluation, yes — the quick start uses Helm on Kubernetes. If you do not have a cluster, try Docker Compose as an alternative.
❓How long does the quick start take?
A: Typically 15–30 minutes, depending on your cluster and network speed. The quick start uses bundled PostgreSQL and default settings.
❓What's the difference between evaluation and production installs?
A: Evaluation uses a single node with bundled database and default settings. Production adds HA, external PostgreSQL, TLS, custom storage, and sizing overlays. See Choose Your Installation Path.
