Monitor a Grid
This section describes how to monitor sync events for a JFrog Grid.
You must be a Platform Admin to perform this procedure.
You can also retrieve monitoring data using the Grid Entity Monitoring API .
Each sync event copies an entity definition from a Source site to one Target site in the Grid. Typically several sync events are required to propagate a configuration change across the Grid.
To monitor Grid activity:
-
Log in to the Main JPD site where you defined the Grid.
-
Go to Administration > Topology > Grid and select the Monitoring tab. The table displays entity sync activity between sites of the Grid.
(Optional) To include secondary entities in the table, enable the System Entities toggle.
-
For each type of entity, the Sync Event Status bar summarizes sync activity over the time period you define in the menu bar. Hover over the Sync Event Status bar to view a detailed count of events.
-
The Sync Event Failures column summarizes failed events for each type of entity. To review and troubleshoot failed sync events, click a row with failed sync events. The Failed Sync Events table lists sync events for that entity type that failed.
-
Use the search field to find specific Entity key values, or click the filter icon to find events related to a specific Source or Target site.
-
Click the back arrow < icon to return to the main Monitoring table.
