General Settings

Go to Administration > General Management > Settings to configure the settings described in this topic.

Some configuration fields are only relevant for Self-managed JPDs and do not appear in SaaS JPDs.

Field	Description
Server Name	The name of the server to be displayed on the title of each page.
Custom URL Base	This variable is only available on Self-managed JPDs By default, URLs generated in the JFrog Platform Deployment (JPD) use the context URL returned by your servlet container as a base. A custom URL base is useful when the system is running behind a proxy. In this case the base for URLs generated in the JPD for links and redirect responses must be specified manually. You can also change the base URL so that non-request-based operations use the correct address, for example in generated emails. The Update Custom URL Base REST API sets this value. To override the Custom URL Base, use the `X-JFrog-Override-Base-Url HTTP` request header to provide an alternative URL. This can be useful if you need the JPD to respond to more than one host name. Date Format (mandatory)	This variable is required. The date format for displaying dates in the web interface.
Enable Help Component	If set, the JPD displays context sensitive help topics in the top right corner of the UI.

Direct Cloud Storage Download Settings (Self-managed JPD)

Minimum Direct Cloud Storage Download Size

This variable is only available on Self-managed JPDs

The minimum size of an artifact for which when requested, Artifactory will redirect the request for direct download from cloud storage.

Look and Feel Settings

Specify a logo image that appears in the top left corner of Platform screens.

File	Upload an image file. Drag the file to the Logo File field, or click Select file to browse to the file. The file is copied to `$JFROG_HOME/artifactory/var/etc/ui`. The maximum allowed file size is 100 MB.Generic Directory Layout
URL	Link to an externally hosted image file. Enter the URL and pathname In the Logo URL field.

Custom Message Settings

Define a text message that is displayed at the top of Platform screens.

Enabled	Display the message to Platform users.
Title	The title of the message.
Title Color	Select the font color of the title.
Message	The text of the message that is displayed. Use the following format to include hyperlinks: : `[<link URL>, <link text>]`

Custom Login Dialog Settings

Define a message window that appears before users log in to the Platform. Users must acknowledge the message to log in.

Enabled	Display the message to Platform users.
Title	The title of the message.
Type	Select the icon that is displayed in the message Title: Valid values: info, warning,, error, or success.
