Monitor a Grid

This section describes how to monitor sync events for an existing Grid.

To manage a Grid:

  1. Log in to the JFrog site where you defined the Grid and go to Administration > Topology > Grid. The Grid tab displays member sites of the Grid.

  2. In the upper right corner, do one of the following:

    • Select the trash icon to delete the currently defined Grid.
    • Select Edit Grid to add or remove sites from the Grid, or to modify the display name used for the Grid.
  3. Select the Monitoring tab. The table displays entity sync activity between sites of the Grid. Select the System Entities toggle to include secondary entities in the table.

For each type of entity, the Sync Event Status bar summarizes synch activity over the specified time period. Hover over the Synch Event Status bar to view a detailed count of events.

Each synch event updates an entity definition from a Source site to one Target site in the Grid. Typically several synch events are required to propagate a configuration change across the Grid.

  4. The Synch Event Failures column summarizes failed events for each type of entity. To review and troubleshoot failed sync events, click a row with failed sync events. The Failed Synch Events table lists synch events for that entity type that failed.

Use the search field to find specific Entity key values, or click the filter icon to find events related to a specific Source or Target site.

  5. Click the arrow < icon to return to the main Monitoring table.
