Edit Lifecycle Policies

You can modify an existing lifecycle policy to update its rule, action, or description. Scope and lifecycle gate cannot be changed after the policy is created. To apply the policy to a different project or gate, create a new policy.

Procedure:

1. In the JFrog Platform, navigate to AppTrust > Lifecycle Policies.

2. Locate the policy you want to edit and select Edit in the action column.

3. In the Edit Policy wizard, update the rule or action as required.

   • To change the rule, select a new condition from the list.
   • To change the action, choose either Fail or Warning.

4. Optionally, update the policy description to reflect the new purpose.

5. Review your changes in the summary pane.

6. Click Save Changes to apply the update.

The updated policy takes effect immediately and is used in all subsequent evaluations.
