RLM Deprecation
As of July 31, 2026, all feature development, patches, and security fixes for Release Lifecycle Management will end, except for critical security fixes. RLM End of Life is currently scheduled for January 31, 2028. For more information, see JFrog Release Lifecycle Management Deprecation - End of Life.

This section describes known issues and limitations related to Release Lifecycle Management.

Release Bundles v2 are managed in the platform UI under Platform > Artifactory > Release Lifecycle. The Release Bundles option found under Platform > Distribution > Release Bundles refers to v1, which is not forward-compatible with v2.
JFrog Xray cannot scan Conan packages inside a Release Bundle v2. As a result, any vulnerabilities and malicious code in those packages go undetected. For more information, see Scanning Release Bundle v2 Versions with Xray.
As of Distribution 2.21.3, Release Bundles v2 created in the context of a specific project can be distributed to Edge nodes and other distribution targets.
If you use the enhanced distribution engine (requires Distribution 2.28.1 or later), avoid propagating signing keys with identical content to keys saved under a different name on the distribution targets.
If an Edge node is renamed, the new name is shown on the Distribution board, but any distribution events that were added previously to a Release Bundle version timeline keep the old name.
